What's Your Plan God?

It was a big surprise for me when I found I had things upside down in my prayer and faith life. Formerly I had thought that living life was mainly my responsibility, and that it was God's responsibility to lend a hand when the going got rough. But when my eyes were opened, I realized that living life primarily means being aware of what God wants me to do, and being certain to go along with Him as He brings His purposes to pass. As soon as I was aware of that, I felt relieved of a heavy burden. It was no longer, "Lord, move into this or that situation and change it." It now was, "Lord, what are you working out in this ?"

Dari 43.000 pelamar, kemudian 10.000 orang, & kini aku menjadi bagian dari 100 orang yg berkumpul untuk penilaian akhir.

Ada simulator, uji klaustrofobi, latihan ketangkasan, percobaan mabuk udara.
Siapakah di antara kami yg bisa melewati ujian akhir ini?
Lalu tibalah berita yg menghancurkan itu,
NASA memilih Christina McAufliffe,
Aku kalah !!
Impian hidupku hancur.
Aku mengalami depresi.
Rasa percaya diriku lenyap & amarah menggantikan kebahagiaanku.
Aku mempertanyakan semuanya.
Kenapa TUHAN?
Kenapa bukan aku?
Bagian diriku yg mana yg kurang?
Mengapa aku diperlakukan kejam?
Aku berpaling kpd Ayahku.
Katanya, "Smua terjadi karena suatu alasan."

Selasa, 28 Januari 1986
Aku berkumpul bersama teman2 tuk lihat peluncuran Challanger. Saat pesawat itu melewati menara landasan pacu, aku menantang impianku untuk terakhir kali. TUHAN, Sebenarnya aku bersedia melakukan apa saja agar berada di dalam pesawat itu. Kenapa bukan aku?

73 detik kemudian,
TUHAN menjawab smua pertanyaanku & menghapus semua keraguanku saat Challanger meledak & menewaskan semua penumpang.

Aku teringat kata Ayahku,
"Semua terjadi karna suatu alasan."
Aku tidak terpilih dalam penerbangan itu walau aku sangat menginginkannya,
karna TUHAN memiliki alasan lain untuk kehadiranku dibumi ini.
Aku memiliki misi lain dalam hidup.

Aku tidak kalah;
Aku seorang pemenang.
Aku menang karna aku telah kalah.
Aku, Frank Slazak, masih hidup tuk bersyukur pada TUHAN karna tak smua doaku dikabulkan.

TUHAN mengabulkan doa kita dgn 3 cara:
1. Bila TUHAN katakan YA;
maka kita akan DAPATKAN APA YG KITA MINTA.
2. Bila TUHAN katakan TIDAK;
maka kita akan dapatkan yg LEBIH BAIK.
3. Bila TUHAN katakan TUNGGU;
maka kita akan dptkan yg TERBAIK itu sesuai dgn waktuNYA. Amen!!!

IF YOU LOVE HER ENOUGH

My friend John always has something to tell me. He knows so much that young men have to have older and more worldly wise men to tell them. For instance who to trust, how to care for others, and how to live life to the fullest.

Recently, John lost his wife Janet. For eight years she fought against cancer, but in the end her sickness had the last word.

One day John took out a folded piece of paper from his wallet. He had found it, so he told me, when he tidied up some drawers at home. It was a small love letter Janet had written. The note could look like a school girl’s scrawls about her dream guy. All that was missing was a drawing of a heart with the names John and Janet written in it. But the small letter was written by a woman who had had seven children; a woman who fought for her life and who probably only had a few months left to live.

It was also a beautiful recipe for how to keep a marriage together.

Janet’s description of her husband begins thus: “Loved me. Took care of me. Worried about me.”

Even though John always had a ready answer, he never joked about cancer apparently. Sometimes he came home in the evening to find Janet in the middle of one of those depressions cancer patients so often get. In no time he got her into the car and drove her to her favorite restaurant.

He showed consideration for her, and she knew it. You cannot hide something for someone who knows better.

“Helped me when I was ill,” the next line reads. Perhaps Janet wrote this while the cancer was in one of the horrible and wonderful lulls. Where everything is — almost — as it used to be, before the sickness broke out, and where it doesn’t hurt to hope that everything is over, maybe forever.

“Forgave me a lot.”

“Stood by my side.”

And a piece of good advice for everyone who looks on giving constructive criticism as a kind of sacred duty: “Always praising.”

“Made sure I had everything I needed,” she goes on to write.

After that she has turned over the paper and added: “Warmth. Humor. Kindness. Thoughtfulness.” And then she writes about the husband she has lived with and loved the most of her life: “Always there for me when I needed you.”

The last words she wrote sum up all the others. I can see her for me when she adds thoughtfully: “Good friend.”

I stand beside John now, and cannot even pretend to know how it feels to lose someone who is as close to me as Janet was to him. I need to hear what he has to say much more than he needs to talk.

“John,” I ask. “How do you stick together with someone through 38 years — not to mention the sickness? How do I know if I can bear to stand by my wife’s side if she becomes sick one day?”

“You can,” he says quietly. “If you love her enough, you can.”

Berkat Melimpah

Bacaan Hari ini :
Yehezkiel 34:26 "Aku akan menjadikan mereka dan semua yang di sekitar gunung-Ku menjadi berkat; Aku akan menurunkan hujan pada waktunya; itu adalah hujan yang membawa berkat."

Biarkan saya mengajukan pertanyaan.
Apakah Anda percaya Tuhan ingin memberkati Anda?
Anda mungkin berkata, "Ya," tetapi dalam hati Anda apakah Anda benar-benar percaya ini benar?

Luangkan waktu sejenak untuk membaca Yehezkiel 34:26 "... Aku akan menyebabkan hujan turun pada waktunya, akan ada hujan berkat."

Saya percaya Alkitab mengajarkan kita bahwa ada musim pencobaan, demikian juga ada musim berkat luar biasa yang datang dari Allah.
Dan musim berkat yang luar biasa ini tidak boleh dianggap remeh.
Kita harus memanfaatkan momentum tersebut dan memanfaatkan dengan sebaik mungkin ketika musim berkat itu datang.

Jangan salah, Tuhan itu baik sepanjang waktu, dan Dia adalah baik untuk semua.
Belas kasihan-Nya tersedia atas segala karya-Nya.
Dia menerbitkan matahari-Nya untuk mereka yang baik dan yang jahat, dan Dia menurunkan hujan untuk orang benar dan orang yang tidak benar.
Kenyataan dari hal ini, Allah itu baik bahkan untuk orang yang tidak baik karena sifat-Nya adalah baik.

Namun, ada berkat yang lebih melimpah dan lebih kaya yang datang dari tangan Tuhan.
Dan berkat-berkat melimpah ini hanya datang kepada mereka yang melakukan hal tertentu.

Besok saya ingin mengajak Anda untuk melihat ke dalam kitab Galatia.
Ketika kita melihat ayat-ayat ini, kita akan menemukan bahwa meskipun Allah itu baik bagi semua, berkat-berkat yang kaya, melimpah dan lebih besar datang kepada mereka yang melakukan hal tertentu.
Bersama kita akan melihat apa saja hal-hal tersebut.

Hari ini, saya hanya ingin Anda memahami kebenaran bahwa Allah ingin memberkati kehidupan Anda dalam cara yang luar biasa.
