So glad to be writing again.
Just want to share a testimony that really made my day yesterday :)) So as you guys already know, me and some friends from TRINITY have been ministering to the people and the kids in the refugee camp in Noelbaki, West Timor. These are the people from Timor Leste who were affected by the conflict there.
I heard this testimony yesterday from sister Ati, the one in charge of the play group there in the camp.
We have started the ministry in the camp since last may and God has been so faithful in helping us providing the needs for the kids there.
So, straight to the point.. Last August, we were there with a team from YWaM Perth, we played with the children, teach them how to wash their hands, feed them and pray with them.
We also did a home visit, where we met this child named Andreas with mental retardation who was kept at home and nobody in that environment ever really knew that he exists. His parents never really took him out. As we were praying for the children, his little brother came up to me and asked if we could come to his house to pray for his paralyzed brother. Some people there were shocked looking at this paralyzed boy as they never saw him before. He is around 11 years old. We prayed for him and also for both his parents. So there was a family restoration that day. I am glad to tell you guys today that this little Andreas is getting better and better, not a hundred percent but we can really see a big difference in him after we prayed for him that day.
Not only that, some other things happened after we prayed for the people whom we visited. There's this guy suffering from kidney stone who always felt pain when urinating. It was so painful that he had to bite a clothe whenever he went to the toilet. He had been in pain for 4 years, he went to see doctors and even tried alternative medication but none can help. Nothing happened as we were praying but that night when he went to the toilet, miracle took place!!! He was totally healed. The pain had gone and now he urinates normally like he never suffered from any kidney stone. PRAISE THE LORD! He wished we can come and pray for him and the family again.
Another testimony comes from a lady who was pregnant. One lady from the YWaM team prayed for this pregnant woman and spoke blessing over the womb. She said, this child will bring a great joy and blessing for the family. we didn't know what was happening in the family but God knew. We were told yesterday that there's a conflict between the family and their relatives. They've been separated for years and they didn't get along with one another, until the baby was born last month. Upon hearing about the birth of the baby, something touched the heart of that lady's brother and it compelled him to find his sister and asked for forgiveness. so they were reconciled and there was a restoration in their relationship. Awesome!!!
We've been praying for these people and keep coming every week to visit the children. And thank God that He use us to raise the awareness of the people in Kupang toward what is really happening in our land. Blessings keep flowing for the people. Somehow we still need your prayers that we can do another approach to the government to provide health insurance for the people in the camp.
Thanks to everyone who has been involved both materially and financially in making this ministry possible. May God bless you with grace and mercy.
"For God is not unjust to forget your work and labor of[a] love which you have shown toward His name, in that you have ministered to the saints, and do minister." (Hebrew 6:10 NKJV)
Stay blessed.
