Jadi bagaimana supaya iman kita kuat?

My full name is Jacobus January Loloin, people usually call me Jack. That’s it, very simple. I have 2 brothers (one of them is my twin) and 2 sisters.
I was raised up by my mom’s older sister who I called mom since I was a baby.
I’m a Jesus lover. I was born again when I was around 10 or 11. Things were difficult back then that I couldn’t really grow spiritually.

My birth mom and dad left for Jakarta when I was about 3 years old, leaving me and my 2 brothers and my older sister. That was the last time I ever see her face as she past away in Jakarta about 7 or 8 years later. My dad just went with another woman after mom passing away and that caused a deep revenge in me.

I grew up with bitterness toward my dad, self rejection, low self confidence and stuff. I then signed myself up in a martial art since I was in elementary school till I was in high school willing to pay revenge one day. I hated every father back then.

It was until I was in Senior High School that I started to forgive my dad. Its not easy… It took God’s grace to really help me release all the past hurt and disappointment. I wouldn’t be able to do that unless God through His Spirit and grace enabled me.

I love music and singing and am now working on my single and album.

I study Language and Art in the university and am now working also at STL (Shine The Light) International, a Christian NPO that works in humanitarian and mission field. I also am a leader of a Christian Youth Community called TRINITY (Transformed Life Community) where we study the bible chapter by chapter and verse by verse.
God has been faithful in my life that He doesn’t leave me as helpless and hopeless orphan. He gives me future just as He had promised in JEREMIAH 29:11.
Instead of being broken I got good achievements since high school, scholarship and He made me one of the Youth Ambassadors who represent my country in Japan and ASEAN countries on 2010.

He transforms my life and He gets me to where I am and makes me who I am today. I learn a lot from my past and God use those hatred, disappointment, hurt and revenge as testimonies to His people. What I’m saying is “If God can change and use me, He will change you too”

I dont know what to write today.. i just dont feel good.. bad mood, bad feel, feeling pathetic, miserable.
Feel like i'm going through a desert. i feel dry and thirsty. so many things in my head and i just cant express them with words. things are kind of weighing me down, down, and down... family, friends, job, study... sigh.... it all just like .. aahhhhh... (whats wrong with me???)
in moment like this, the only thing i wanna do is being away from everything and everyone..

if my brain were a computer its like you load too many information that it starts to be slow, slow, yes slow and eventually stuck.. nothing works even when you press the F5 button.

The only thing i know is that God is purifying myself.. thats it.. but somehow i feel like i just wanna skip this page of life to the next page or chapter. if my brain is visible through my head then it will be like tangled threads.. really...
Sometimes i wish i could just quit and start a new, but whats the point if it will start again and i'll have to go through the same thing over n over again... arrgghh, its suck! God..... help me... I cant handle it!!! Please, help me getting it through...

Things are just not going the way i want...

I wanna complain but i cant.. i know God is doing something great in my life, He's preparing me for something great in the future.. phheww, all i need to do is just be faithful and be strong...

I hate this feeling but this is what I learn earlier this morning … Every time when you want to give up always remember that life is a book written by God. There are sufferings within every page and chapter, but there are also blessings that follow. Life can be hard today but don’t skip the page or chapter just because of the sufferings you go through and miss out on the blessings in them. Also, do not to rush to get into the next page and chapter before you’re ready for the suffering. Wait upon the Lord, He knows exactly when to open the next page and chapter of your life. In the mean time, stay faithful in whatever you’re going through today.

(ISAIAH 40:31)

Well i know its a weird note today but i hope the last paragraph above would be a blessing to you all.

Keep me in your prayer...

Hi everybody,

Its good to be writing again. I just learned something cool again this week. What a revelation and I just couldn't wait till I can share it with you all. A couple days ago I saw a Christian Program on TV and a pastor was speaking about the value that Jesus gives to those who stand with Him.

It started with the story of Jesus meeting with the first disciples in Luke 5. But before that, the bible says in the end of Luke 4 that Jesus went to a deserted place (most probably to pray) as He always do and then came back to choose His disciples. Some say that Jesus prayed for 12 hours that day before He chose His apostolic team.
This is interesting. Jesus prayed before He chose His disciples, but wait a minute! How come He spent 12 hours of praying for the election of the disciples but end up with poor choice? I mean, look at the people He chose ; Simon who is faster in acting than thinking, and then James and John who were impatient and easily irritated, especially when they asked for fire to come down from heaven. The worse thing about them is they're uneducated persons. What I'm saying is (without being disrespectful to Jesus), I don't need to pray for hours just to end up with poor choice. Look at the people He chose, they were without education.. And the most terrible choice was Judas, a thief. He didn't simply chose a thief but He made him the treasurer. Wow.. I wouldn't do that.

But here I don't want you to see it from my perspective or from any other human's perspective, but let us look from God's perspective.
Look, Jesus is Lord and He must have known who His disciples were before He chose them, but still He chose them. What's behind this choice? We see all through out the Bible God never chose the qualified but He qualifies the chosen. Look at Joseph, he was a slave before God made him a ruler over Egypt, look at Moses, he was stuttered, David was small, but God used them as His wonderful tools.
What makes them a wonderful tool? That's the question!

The bible says that Jesus is the only one. He is the way, the truth and the life, no one can come to the Father except through Him (John 14:6) and He says "Apart of Me you can do nothing".
Jesus is the only one.
The disciples were nothing but fisherman before Jesus called them but look what happened 2000 years later? Those 12 disciples rock the world with the gospel. They were zero (0).
I remember 14 years ago when I received Christ, I was nothing but little kid. I was zero (0), just like the disciples were. But then Jesus called me to serve Him and I responded. So I came and stand beside Him. I was a zero "0" who stood right beside Jesus the ONE "1", and before I knew it we were already 10. And then Jesus called another zero and he stood beside me and we became 100, another zero came and we became 1000. And then I realized that Jesus gives value to all zeros. What I'm saying is, AS LONG AS JESUS IS THE NUMBER ONE, HE WILL GIVE VALUE TO OUR ZERO LIVES! Amen!!!

Friends, I don't know what you're going through. Maybe you've been rejected by your family just like David, maybe you fail in your relationship, or maybe no one is willing to be friend with you, or even you think like your life is a mistake, but this is what I wanna say to you, as long you have Jesus standing right beside you, you are more than accepted, you are loved and highly favored! Just make Him the number one in your life!

I don't care who you are, what you've done or where you've been but this is the truth that applies to everybody's life, "Jesus is there to give value to your life".

Just before you think you are not qualified in God's sight, let me remind you again; Judas was a thief. If God called him, why wouldn't He Call you? Simon denied Him. If God forgave him, why wouldn't He forgive you? Thomas was in doubt, but if God used him, why wouldn't He use you?
The truth is, God never calls the qualified but He qualifies the called!
The secret is simple, make Him your number one. No zero is too small to be used by God.

Knowing this truth, I don't even mind to be the last zero to be picked up by God, because the last zero makes the greatest value. 100.000.000.000.000 is way way way bigger than 10, isn't it?

Make Jesus your number one and see how He transforms you from zero to hero. Halleluya!!!!!!

Let me know if you are blessed and want to respond to Jesus' calling in your life. Let us stand together and show the world how Jesus transforms our life.

LET GOD MINISTER TO YOU

John 13:8 "Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me."

JOHN 13:5-8

Peter's refusal to let Jesus wash his feet came from a knowledge that he was totally unworthy to have the sinless Son of God serve him as a common servant would. Peter was correct in his assessment of his relative worth, but what he missed was that God doesn't minister to us because of our worth but because of His love.

Even though Peter's attitude looked holy and humble, he was actually resisting God's will and committing an act of pride. Pride is not only exalting yourself above what is proper, but also, it can be debasing yourself below what is proper. Pride is simply self-centeredness or being self-willed instead of God-centered and submitted to God's will. Peter should have been humble enough to know that Jesus knew what He was doing and he should have submitted himself to God's will.

Likewise today, some people refuse to let God bless them, thinking they are unworthy of His favor. While it is true that our actions don't warrant God's goodness, a truly humble person will receive the Lord's blessings as an expression of His love and grace toward them. Misguided humility is every bit as damaging as exaggerated pride.

Peter wanted to serve Jesus, but did not want to be served by Jesus. Jesus was telling Peter that unless he received His ministry to him, Peter would be unfit to serve Him. We cannot cleanse ourselves or others. We are totally dependent on the work of God's grace in our lives. Then and only then, are we equipped to minister to others. Before we can be the blessing that we desire to be to God or to others, we have to let God be the blessing to us that He desires to be.

"JANGAN
BERHENTI DI PERBATASAN!"
Bilangan 14:1-9

Ayat 1
·         12
Pengintai mewakili 12 suku Israel
·         Mereka
menangis karena mendengar berita tentang penduduk Kanaan yg menakutkan
·         Tangisan
·         Berpegang
pada perasaan bias menjadi dosa
·         Israel
menangisi kekalahan sebelum berperang
·         Israel
sudah berdiri di ambang Tanah Perjanjian
·         10
·         Mereka
dipersiapkan untuk menjadi pemimpin, imam, diajar bagaimana member, dikuduskan
(dipisahkan), bahkan hadirat Tuhan menjadi jaminan untuk mereka
·         Setelah sekian lama, Tuhan
akhirnya siap memberi apa yang Dia janjikan
·         Pertanyaannya : Apakah anda siap
menerima janji Tuhan?
·         One final battle and they would
inherit the land, but they were not ready!

Ayat 2-3
·         Mereka
bersungut-sungut kepada Musa dan Harun
·         Sebenarnya
·         Kadang Tuhan membiarkan kita
mendapat apa yg kita paksakan padaNya agar kita melihat resiko dari pilihan
kita sendiri

·         Mereka
menolak proses Tuhan
·         Jangan
salah, yg Israel tolak di sini bukan sekedar janji Tuhan tapi "perjalanan iman"
·         Alkitab
sendiri (Mereka menolak Tuhan) >>> Penghujatan
·         Mereka percaya bahwa mereka lebih
tahu dari Tuhan.
·         Amsal berkatapercayalah kpd Tuhan dan jangan
bersandar pada pengertianmu sendiri
·         Mereka berkata seorang kepada yg
lain : jangan

Ayat 5-9
·         Musa & Harun : Generasi tua
·         WHAT HE PROMISES, HE WILL
ACCOMPLISH
·         WHERE HE GUIDES HE PROVIDES
